Filomena Rocchina GrassoMother. Born May 31, 1910, in Orsara di Puglia (FG) Italy. Interred: Marymount Catholic Cemetery, Guelph Filomena Grasso was born in Orsara di Puglia (Foggia) Italy. In February 1940 she married Francesco Grasso and they had three children. She had seven wonderful grandchildren and before she passed away she was very fortunate to see two of them get married. Filomena was a talented dressmaker who created her own designs - a profession she practiced until she was in her mid seventies. She was very active in the Catholic Women's Association in Italy until she immigrated to Canada in September 1955 and belonged to the CWL in Guelph for many years. She had a great sense of humor and loved singing while working on her creations.
