Stories
Publicly remembering our loved ones who have gone before us is a way of honouring them, and can bring comfort and peace to family and friends. At The Catholic Cemeteries, we help keep memories alive by:
- Encouraging you to post a Life Story about your loved one.
- Holding a monthly Memorial Mass to read the names of people who were interred at one of the Hamilton/Burlington Catholic cemeteries in the previous month.
- Providing Memorial Trees and Benches for purchase. You can add to the beauty of the cemetery while commemorating your loved one.
- Providing a "find a grave" service. If you are having trouble locating a relative's grave, please use the email form under the Contact us link or call the main office at 905-522-7727 or 1-800-661-5985.
Memorial Masses
These Masses are held the second Tuesday of every month at 4:30 pm at Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum on Plains Road. The names of all those interred at one of the Hamilton/Burlington Catholic Cemeteries within the previous month are available to be read in the Book of Life, and will be read aloud. The next-of-kin receive an invitation in the mail and all family and friends are welcome to attend.
