General Information - Message From the BishopDear Friends: Burial in a Catholic cemetery may be considered the final act of faith for Catholics. Soon after birth we are baptized as Catholics, and the Church is part of our lives at every developmental stage. It is natural and right for us to complete our earthly lives as Catholics with burial or entombment in a Catholic cemetery, so that we may be joined in a community of faith in death as we did in life. Our Catholic cemeteries in the Diocese of Hamilton are symbols of the love we have for each other and of our belief in eternal life. I invite all members of our Catholic community to take advantage of the services offered by The Catholic Cemeteries of the Diocese of Hamilton in assisting you with pre-need planning or at the time of a loved one's death. The Catholic Cemeteries staff is trained to minister to you and your family with the care and compassion of our Catholic Christian faith. Yours sincerely in Christ, Most Reverend Anthony F. Tonnos, D.D. |
