Dave didn’t have much education however he knew anything about everything and if didn’t know it he sure figured it out. Dave had a love for Hot Rod cars. He owned a few. Dave was proud when he saved up his money to buy his 69’ Super Bee which was lime green. His parents owned property around Beaver lake where they had a cottage and with growing up Dave’s connection with the history of pioneer time has educated the area and has kept it going strong with the times today. It has been his favourite place spending the spring, summer and fall each year. Dave has a passion for playing cards. He belonged to a few card leagues over the years. His favourite was cribbage. He could count your hand before you could. For this his voice will live on. Dave was married Shirley on October 9 for 38 years same day of his passing. He loved her dearly. Dave took on becoming a step dad to two children Mark and Amy then became a dad to his daughter Sadie. He took very good care of his family. Dave was a general labour until he had the opportunity to start his own business sharpening saws. He loved starting projects around the house and the cottage however many were left unfinished. Dave had step grandchildren Allysa, Emma, Racheal and Cameron and an adopted grandchild Melissa. Then Dave had a grandchild Riley and adopted great grandchild Markus. Then came another grandchild Cassidy and step great grandchild Aveena, adopted great grandchildren Ruby and Daizey and step great grandchild Jack. Dave love teasing the kids. It was his way of showing his love and of course if you were a girl/boy you were called a boy/girl. Dave lived his life the way he wanted to live it. He was a chatty man and told all kinds of story and a well known social man. He knew a lot of people and would go out of his way to know them. If he could help out someone in some way he would. Dave volunteered at St Vincent de Paul in his last few years with helping with the food assistance program. Dave was an original kind and very well loved by many. He will be missed in many ways by many people.
